As a registered nurse, I can perform limited clinical assessments for my clients such as vital signs, fetal heart tone monitoring, and cervical checks when appropriate, in addition to providing emotional and physical labor support.

Monitrice Doula
Services

  • Montrice Care is best suited for low-risk clients planning a hospital birth who would like knowledgeable guidance at home during early labor before transitioning to the hospital environment.

    My doula support package includes a minimum of three prenatal visits (with more available, if needed) where we review childbirth and newborn care education, discuss your birth preferences, and address any fears or questions you may have. Knowledge is power — these sessions are designed to help you feel informed, confident, and prepared for your birth journey.

    Throughout pregnancy, I’m available for continuous emotional and informational support by phone, text, or email. I’ll be by your side during active labor and birth, offering hands-on comfort measures, advocacy, and reassurance, and will stay with you for up to 4 hours after delivery to ensure a smooth transition into the immediate postpartum period.

    Postpartum support includes at least one home visit with non-judgmental feeding support, recovery guidance, and continued emotional care. You’ll also have access to long-term, in-person support groups, because building community and ongoing support is an important part of your journey.

Birth Plan
Counseling

  • This 3 hour in home session is designed to help you create a birth plan that reflects your values, preferences, and goals. Together, we’ll review your options for labor, delivery, and postpartum care, and I’ll provide guidance and evidence-based information to help you make informed choices.

    Whether you’re exploring comfort measures, interventions, or newborn care preferences, this consultation empowers you to communicate your wishes confidently with your care team.

Childbirth/Newborn
Education

  • Learn what to expect during labor, birth, and the early postpartum period in the comfort of your own home. As a registered nurse with nearly ten years of experience in labor, delivery, and newborn care, I provide personalized education tailored to your needs and questions.

    Topics can include stages of labor, comfort measures, medical interventions, newborn care, breastfeeding, and preparing for postpartum recovery. My goal is to give you the knowledge and confidence to feel empowered and prepared for your birth journey.

Virtual Doula
Support

  • This package combines virtual support with up to two in-home visits to review your birth preferences, provide childbirth and newborn care education, and answer your questions in person.

    Throughout your pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum, I’ll be available and on call via phone, text, or video to provide guidance, reassurance, and emotional support — helping you feel prepared and confident every step of the way.
